Our Intake Process

The Baldwin Humane Society is a limited intake no-kill rescue organization located in Fairhope, Alabama. We are not an open admission facility. In many cases, we are not able to take in an animal directly from the public on short notice. The majority of our animals are pulled from local animal control agencies so space is limited for owner surrenders. We CAN NOT take in found dogs off the street. If you have found an animal you need to contact your local city animal control officer.

If you need to surrender your own animal, please fill out the intake request form on this page. Please include at least one current photo of the animal. A member of our staff will get in touch with you if the animal can be brought into our program, or to help find you more resources for your animal.

If you would like to speak to one of our representatives you can give our office a call at 251-928-4585. Our office hours are Mon - Thurs from 10am - 4pm. If you are in an urgent or emergency situation, you will need to speak to your local police and ask to speak to someone in the animal control department.
