Alone, afraid, confused, depressed. A victim of the elements day after day, night after night, year after year after year.
That was Shep’s miserable existence before we rescued him. Now Shep spends his days on a sofa or running free in his large fenced yard. You would think his ordeal would make him angry and mistrustful. But his new owner reports she has never met a gentler, more trusting dog in her life.
Unfortunately, Shep’s story is not unique in Baldwin County. He is only one of many animals abused, abandoned and neglected every day. The problem is only compounded by the current economy.
