Come walk your dogs with us in the Mardi Gras Parade
BARC! will have adoptable dogs to be walked and we will be driving the BARC! van in the parade. We need volunteers to carry banners and handouts. We are encouraging people who have dogs who can tolerate parade noise and commotion, to come out and walk them with us. Call 251.928.4585 x102 to volunteer.
INFORMATION FROM THE APOLLO'S MYSTIC LADIES ORGANIZATION:
Our theme this year is “Midnight Masquerade”. If you are in a band or organization that normally dresses according to the AML theme, we invite you to dress or decorate your vehicle in a celebratory manner that is kid friendly.
Line up behind the Daphne Civic Center will begin at 5:30 P.M. on Friday February 25, 2011. The parade will begin promptly at 6:45 P.M. Please allow yourself time to line up. Our parade coordinator, Suzanne Clark (458-7147 cell) will line-up everyone in the proper position. She will be wearing an orange vest. In the event of inclement weather and we are unable to parade, we will reschedule to Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 6:45 P.M. As soon as the decision is made to reschedule the parade, either I or a member of our board will be in contact with you. If you need any assistance please don’t hesitate to call. Again, we look forward to seeing you for our parade and would like to thank you for being a part of the BEST parade in Daphne.
