Adoptable Pet from BARC

We are a no-kill adoption agency (rather than a shelter). DOGS are boarded at various locations throughout Baldwin County -- either at fosters, vet clinics or kennels -- so an appointment is necessary and is arranged by our dog adoption coordinator. Prospective pet parents need to fill out an application; click here for DOG adoption application.

Our CATS can be seen year-round at these retail locations: Old Tyme Feed in Fairhope, PetSmart Eastern Shore Center and the BARC! Office. We also have three by-appointment-only adoption centers in Foley, Spanish Fort and Fairhope. If you have a particiular cat you're interested in, please call our office to find out he is being boarded right now. Our staff and volunteers bring as many animals as possible to adoption events. We are on-site at PetSmart Eastern Shore Center the first Saturday of each month. Our homepage will always give the date of our next scheduled pet adoption.

ADOPTED!! My name is Gena. When my elderly mom died her family couldn't take me back home with them. That left my kitty friend of 8 years and me with nowhere to go. My friend has been adopted and now it's just me. They take good care of me here at the BARC! office and I've made friends with the people who work here, but I really want a new home of my own. I'm a very pretty girl...especially if you like girls with lots of curves and/or if you like the bobtail look because I'm both...curvy and have the cutest, tiniest nub of a bobtail. I'm 8 years old, but PLEASE don't let that scare you off; I have lots of years left in my life and tons love and snuggles to give if you'll just give a me stable, quiet home and time to adjust.

We do not ship pets. Potential adopters must be at least 19 years of age, complete an adoption application interview, pay an adoption fee and sign a legally binding adoption contract.
